1. About this policy
This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains how Kuku Technologies Private Limited (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you use Company’s “Services” (defined in the Universal Terms of Use available at Terms of Service and Service specific terms and conditions (collectively referred to as “Terms”) or anywhere we display or reference this Policy. It also explains what privacy rights you have and how to exercise them.
This Policy applies to all users of Company’s Services including but not limited to the following:

3. Personal information we collect about you and its purpose, retention period
What information we collect, and process depends on the services and features you use.
We use your information for the purpose of providing you our Services. Please note that should you choose to not provide us your consent to collect your information, including Personal Information, we may not be able to provide you with our Services as specified in our Terms or as specified in the Service specific terms & conditions applicable to your use of such Services, which means that you may either not be able to access certain features of the Services or we may not be able to provide you the Services in entirety.
Broadly, the purposes of collecting your personal information are as below:

4. Sources from which we may collect data about you
We may collect personal data about you in the following manner:
Directly from you: When you register with us, update your account or profile, purchase products or Services from us, correspond with us, or respond to our surveys, you may provide (and we will collect) the following information: personal details, payment details, purchase information, account/profile information, and communications.
Automatically when you use our Service: We automatically collect certain information in connection with your use of the Services including: account/profile information, purchase information, usage information, advertising information, device and network information, and communications.
Authentication partners: If you register for or log into the Services using another account (such as your Google or Apple account) that service will send your name, email address and profile picture to us. This information helps create your account with us. You can control the personal data you allow us to have access to through the privacy settings on the respective third party service. Please note that we never store any passwords created for any third party services.
Information other users provide about you: We may receive information about you from our Users, including non-users. For example, our other Users can provide your name, phone number, email address through our comments section etc.
Third party service providers: We work with third party service providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. This applies to processing activities such as mapping IP addresses to determine approximate location data (e.g., country or region, city, state), understanding how people use our Services, ensuring safety, security, and integrity and helping with customer service. These companies provide us with information about you in certain circumstances that help us diagnose and fix service issues or data about your app use.
Other third parties: We may supplement the profile information provided by you with other information and additional contact information that is publicly available or with information received from information providers which collect data from public registers, telecom operators in order to improve safety and quality of the content on our platform.
5. Third party services & disclosure
We do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise transfer to third parties, Your personal information.
We, however, do engage certain third party service providers, to provide certain services including but not limited to advertising, infrastructure and IT services, process payment transactions, etc. and such third parties may have access to your personal or non-personal information in the course of providing such services.
These trusted third-parties are bound by this Policy and are not authorized to use or disclose your personal information except in connection with providing their services. You must, at all times, comply with and be aware of the privacy policies of such third-parties.
We may share or disclose your information with our affiliates, group companies, trusted vendors, service providers, and other partners who support our business and Services, such as providing technical infrastructure services, bug testing, analyzing how our Services are used, etc. for the purposes specified in this Policy. We also reserve the right to share/transfer any information including personal information relating to the Users with another party in case of a merger, acquisition, amalgamation, or sale of all or part of Our assets to a third party.
Other than as set out in this Policy, we shall not share or disclose your personal information to third parties without obtaining your prior consent unless it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy or unless we are required to do so by law.
Additionally, We may disclose certain personal or non-personal information about a User as and when required for the purpose of any litigation, security, law enforcement and/or for enforcement of T&Cs.
The apps and website may contain links to third party websites that are not under our control. These websites may have their own policies regarding privacy. We have no control of or responsibility for such linked websites. You accessing such linked websites shall be at your own risk. These websites are not subject to this Policy. You should check the privacy policies, if any, of such third party websites to see how the operators of those third party websites will utilize your personal or non-personal information.
6. Payment and billing information
When you purchase a plan using one or more of our payment gateway service providers or other online/mobile payment service providers (including app stores), we collect limited payment-related details such as the transaction amount, selected plan, and your preferred mode of payment (e.g., UPI or non-UPI).
Your payment related sensitive personal data is processed and stored by our third-party payment processors and is not stored or processed by us.
In cases where you make payments through third parties (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), your payment information is collected and controlled directly by such third parties. We only receive and retain transaction receipts for your purchases for internal accounting, tax compliance, and to meet our obligations under applicable laws, including audits, legal proceedings, or investigations.
7. Retention of personal information
We will store your personal information, for which the purpose is deemed to be fulfilled and / or completed, for a minimum period of 1 year and maximum up to 3 years, as per the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. Other data, for which the purpose continues to be served, we shall retain to fulfill the purposes for which the data is being processed until such purpose is served. We have captured in detail the purposes and retention periods of various types of data in Clause 3.
The retention period further depends on your request to delete it, or unless we are mandated by other applicable laws to retain it for a specific period of time.
After your Account is deleted, your data is completely deleted from our systems. Before we delete your data, we will notify you 48 hours in advance. We perform regular disposals and erase personal data that is no longer necessary to process.
8. Children's privacy
We do not permit children under the age of 18 years to make or hold Accounts with the Company. Children under the age of majority may access our Services only through the accounts held by their parents / legal guardians who are over the age of 18 years upon the explicit and verifiable consent of their parents/guardians.
We do not intentionally or knowingly collect or process information from children or allow such persons to register for our Services.
If we become aware that we have collected personal data about a child under the applicable age limit, we will take reasonable steps to delete the personal data. If you believe that we might have information from or about a child under the age of 18 years, please contact us at support@kukufm.com.

10. Security measures
The Company has taken appropriate technical and organizational security measures in order to protect your personal data / information against unlawful or accidental disclosure, use, access, destruction, alteration or harm. For example, all user data is stored in a database protected by firewall and access control so only authorized parties including Company employees and Company’s third-party partners (“Authorized Parties”) who need access to your personal data to perform specific tasks have such access.
We take all reasonable precautions to protect Your personal and non-personal information using industry standard technical and administrative security measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration. We store all Personal Information of Users on the cloud infrastructure offered by Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.
11. Cookies
Cookies are small data files that are commonly stored on your device when you access websites and online services.
If you use the Services on a mobile device, tablet, or streaming media device, we may collect a resettable device identifier from your device. These cookies can be used for making it easy to access our service by remembering you when you return; to administer and operate our business, to research, analyze and improve our Services (for example, to improve site performance, monitor visitor traffic and actions on our site, and to test the effectiveness of our UI); to send marketing and informational messages, promote our Platform; share this data with our third party service providers to support advertising campaigns; for safety, security and fraud prevention; and to comply with laws and enforce the T&Cs.
12. Advertising
As you use our Services, you may see ads. Company uses Google Ads and related third-party advertising services to display relevant advertisements to our users on other platforms and apps you may use including the Services.
We engage Google, as a third-party vendor for advertising. Google may use cookies and other tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our Platforms, Services and other websites on the internet. Our use of Google Ads complies with Google's advertising Policies, including restrictions on sensitive categories, and we do not knowingly allow ads that collect personally identifiable information without user consent. To opt out of interest-based ads from the Company / Services, which are provided through device identifiers on a mobile device, tablet, or streaming media devices, please configure the appropriate setting on your device (usually found under "privacy" or "ads" in your device's settings). You may still see ads on your device, but they will not be personalised to your interests.
13. Changes to this Policy
We are constantly working to improve our Services. This may involve modifications of our handling of personal data (e.g. we may collect data for new purposes or collect additional data). The date of the most recent revision will appear on this page. Owing to this, we may make changes to this Policy. We advise that you regularly check the changes made to this Policy. If you do not agree with any changes we make, please do not continue to use our Services. Otherwise, your continued use of the Services will mean that the processing of your personal data is subject to the new privacy policy.
14. Grievances
In case you have any questions, grievances, complaints, comments or requests, please reach out to our grievance officer, whose contact details are as specified in Clause 2 of the Policy.
Process for lodging a complaint/grievance: Users who wish to submit a grievance or have concerns regarding the processing of their information by the Company can do so by contacting the Grievance Officer using the contact details provided above. It is recommended to submit grievances in writing, providing specific details of the issue.
The Company will acknowledge receipt of the grievance promptly and will endeavour to investigate and resolve it within a reasonable timeframe.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
